Pioneer researcher in Australia dealt with water eutrophication and heavy metal bio-availability/accumulation, established Standards for assessment of eutrophication in Australia and Index applied worldwide (P ≥ 0.02 ppm; N ≥ 0.2 ppm as critical values for eutrophication)
Fate and dynamics of environmental pollutants (indoor and outdoor) relating to public health associated with the Healthy City Projects
Nanotechnology and nanomaterial development with focus on synthetic materials and modification of natural materials
New technologies developed for bauxite refinery, increased the alumina output rate 2-5% with long term benefit to aluminium industry
Technologies developed for solid waste treatment/recycling, and chemical and biological remediation for environmental pollutants using solid waste materials
Recycled products derived from inorganic and inorganic waste materials
