First of all, testing of the recalled tuna was carded out by (presumably qualified） chemists on Promofood’s own payroll. Blackstone’s Commentaries speaks of that “most venerable” principle of English Common Law that, “No man shall be judge in his own case.” Apparently chemists and corporate exec’s do not read the law. No worry, they stand to soon become better acquainted with it. Since Promofood’s chemists have established the safety of the tuna in question, have similar results been arrived at by independent chemists? Can it be shown, too, that any tuna provided to this latter group is in fact from the same lots as that recalled?
